I am 23 year old female. I have a 2 year old daughter. I have had problems with depression since I have had her. Because of the depression, I have gained 40 lbs. Is there something else besides medicine that I can take or do? My depression is hurting my marriage. I am out of refills on my medication. I just want something besides my medication to help me, if there is any. Serious answers only please.

I did just this after 3 years of depression.

My depression culminated in an attempted suicide at age 10.

The modern view in medicine is that suicide is a consequence of failing to cope with “depression”.

There is plenty of information regards this topic online, but hardly any on how a person can overcome depression without medical help, this is why i want to know what you think is a persons reason/s for leaving depression behind without medical help.
